Nursing Scholarship Recipients

Santa Clara Woman’s Club is pleased to announce the 2011 recipients of the Mary S. Taylor-Ruth Frey Nursing Scholarship. Winners Jeanette Mathews, Mathew Freitas and Brandon Pierce were awarded a total of $2,000.00.  This is the largest amount ever awarded by the Club.  The scholarship honors Mary S. Taylor and Ruth Frey, who established baby care/health classes after WWII.  A non-profit community service organization founded in 1904, Santa Clara Woman’s Club holds various events to raise funds to support the scholarship, preserve the historical landmark Adobe clubhouse and other charitable endeavors.
