MacDonald High School Badminton

In its first year, Kathleen MacDonald High School is only made up of a ninth grade class. Still, the school tries to offer as many opportunities to its student body as possible, including athletics. This year, MacDonald High School fielded a badminton team that plays games in CCS. The team is coached by Eric Rivera with Stephanie Pham serving as the team’s assistant coach.

MacDonald High School badminton had a full slate with 14 games this season for its freshman/junior varsity squad.

This spring, athletes from MacDonald High School competed in badminton, baseball, track & field, swimming and boys volleyball. This wraps up the first full season of athletics at the high school. Athletic Director Darrin Garcia was tasked with managing all of the teams.

“I am beyond honored to serve in the position of Athletic Director for this inaugural season and beyond. Our Condor family has this incredible opportunity to build our own traditions, hang our first banners, and define what it means to be a student-athlete at MacDonald High School! It is my hope as director of athletics to support our athletes, coaches, families, staff, and the school community. The MacDonald athletic department believes that through athletics we can teach valuable lessons and imprint lifelong traits that will impact our student-athletes far beyond their sports,” said Garcia in his opening letter to parents and the members of the MacDonald High School student body.
