Loraine’s Century Celebration

Loraine Gruen celebrated her 100th birthday with her usual Joie de Vivre. Born November 11, 1911, Loraine’s unquenchable spirit has led her to have many interesting adventures. A Smith College graduate, she went on to study at the Sorbonne in Paris to learn French. She then worked at the United Nations in New York as an interpreter and later was a copy editor at The Scientific American Magazine. A pianist, model, wife and devotee of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, Loraine has traveled the world. She still exercises every morning to keep mind, body and spirit healthy and adds “you can get through any day with a shout of Ole’.”
