On Jan. 23, American Legion Post 419 hosted a gathering of Korean War Veterans and their families, for a presentation of Korean Ambassador for Peace Medals. Both Consul General Dong Man Han, from the Office of the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco and U.S. Congressman Mike Honda were present. The medals honor the veterans’ service to both the US and the Republic of Korea, and their dedication and sacrifices made during the Korean War.
