In this day and age
When a single word
Or gesture
Can bring on unimaginable rage
We must all be careful
What we do or say
For words can kill

From all walks of life
Must take extra-care
In choosing their words
Lest they dare
Their supporters to do the unthinkable
Keep in mind
That words can kill

Why not celebrate
Our differences?
And warmly embrace
Americans of all races
hatred shouldn’t define who we are
Do away with fear and denounce violence
Let your heart with love be filled
