Online School – Letter to the Editor

Because of the coronavirus, a majority of schools have shifted to a remote learning from home.

While I would rather converse with my peers and teachers in person, I like to look at the glass half full rather than half empty.

I’ve learned so much about myself over the past couple months and really changed as a person. Learning in a completely different manner has taught me to adapt to the different pros and cons of online school, for example, the increased reliance on good communication or submitting assignments electronically rather than in class. More importantly, I’ve gotten to know my teachers a lot better since the shelter in place order has given me more free time.

While the pandemic continues, I urge my community to take a step back and reflect on how much they have achieved and the new ways they have connected with those around them.
