Dear Santa Clara Weekly,
I want to thank the Weekly for it’s coverage of the NNL West 2011 at the Santa Clara Convention Center this past February. Chris Kinney’s article was much appreciated. It brought attention to more than just model cars. It brought attention to the volunteer work carried out by so many modelers and model clubs, not only in our area and in our state but across the country. Volunteers working to improve the live of our hospitalize veterans. Programs such as the Wounded Warrior Project and closer to home the Silicon Valley Scale Modelers program called the Veteran Model Drive. Public knowledge and support of these and similar programs is crucial to their success.
