Anyone living in or concerned about the state of politics in the City of Santa Clara should learn two things from the recent election:
The voters in Santa Clara voted down the proposal to split our city into multiple voting districts. One, united city, has worked since the beginning and is now on record as the way that we want it to be.
Voters can remove a Judge from office through the use of social media, newspaper editorials and general publicity about the perceived transgressions of that Judge if he/she does not please the voters. The law has nothing to do with it – it’s now simply a matter of how the Judge’s decisions sit with that of the voters.
