Letter From James Rowen

I am beginning to get a little bored with the weekly refrain about how mismanaged and corrupt this city is, and how we pay people too much money. I am more interested in performance than salary.

The other silly din coming from local wood ducks is that our city is filled with backroom dealing. The stadium election was not a place where the pro stadium group hid or distorted, all of their expenditures were quite easily researched, and there were two slate cards, which carried messages from Santa Clara Plays Fair, who never documented they spent on these mailings from Southern California. The matter passed overwhelmingly. The idea that there was any distortion is as accurate as the idea that cell phone towers near schools cause an increase in cancer. Let’s work and live in Santa Clara with the comfort of living and working in a beautiful community.
