Letter From Hudson Washburn

City residents deserve to know what is happening with Levi stadium; it has the potential to be a dominant future asset or liability. After a good opening year, the performance of both the team and the stadium declined. This appears likely to continue. Basing rent on an exceptional, unrepeatable situation would be utmost folly for the city. But, what is feasible?

Unfortunately, whatever is written in the Santa Clara Weekly by Carolyn Schuk or in “Milestones” based on a history of what I find to be biased and inaccurate reporting on these matters, is neither believable nor reliable. I suggest one of the newer reporters, Alexander or Andrews, who have shown journalistic skills, be assigned to provide an in-depth review of the situation. This would logically include interviews with relevant city and team representatives and an independent third party analyses of the contract situation.
