In my city of Mountain View, we have rarely had much of a choice of qualified candidates for school board. It seems that Santa Clara is more activated. I just heard from two candidates for the Board of Trustees in Santa Clara’s unified district: Current Board President Christine Koltermann and San Jose State Professor Michael Helms. Both appeared to be highly educated, well-spoken, nice folks who are properly focused on what’s best for the school children in the district. If they are not elected in Santa Clara, please send them to Mountain View.
