Recently Governor Brown asked to halve the number of taxpayer funded cell phones that State employees use. He also ordered to reduce the number of taxpayer funded vehicles they use. I wonder if the City of Santa Clara could do the same thing. Years ago there were no cell phones and we got along fine without them. An audit should be conducted to reduce the number of cell phones. Also, I wonder how many City issued vehicles are used to drive to their homes in Hollister and Tracy. There would be much cost savings for a City in the red.
