Eradicate Depression – Letter to the Editor

Depression, a common mental disorder, has risen among all age groups worldwide since the pandemic. Research claims that approximately two hundred eighty million people worldwide have depression. Depression ruins relationships, and it also raises your risk for other diseases such as heart disease, sleep disruptions, weakened immune system, Etc. Many people ignore their symptoms and fall into more significant trouble eventually. Even if they seek professional help, medications and medical visits are not helping everyone to deal with the issue. I believe a social initiative should be launched by the government, health departments, and the relevant stakeholders to develop better evolving new age methods and group therapies to help those dealing with depression. Let’s all work together to eradicate depression.
