Editor,
While I enjoy reading about the goings on at Council, I have to question why Mr. Alexander uses some of the terms he does. In his March 27 Council coverage, he states, “As always, one of the Council Members bemoaned…” Why is it necessary to state “as always,” and “bemoaned”? Patty Mahan has every right to state how she feels and “As Always” makes it seem as if Alexander is tired of hearing from her. Plus 1 paragraph later, he states, “Mayor Lisa Gillmor echoed Mahan’s sentiments….” Seems to me that more than 1 person “bemoaned” this. It’s these little things that make me wonder why Alexander has an axe to grind against Mahan. He could write it without sounding vindictive.
