Global poverty impacts nearly 700 million people worldwide. Think of the roof over your head offering shelter, food on the table, and other luxuries we enjoy. For example, we don’t think of morning lattes as an astronomical luxury, and yet the price of our drinks can sustain families around the world and provide them with basic needs. These scenarios that I mentioned are rights, not privileges. Therefore, these rights must be available to everyone. We need to do more; everyone has the power to make the world a better place. Start by educating yourselves, seek opportunities to participate in food drives, or consider donating. Change begins with you.
