Central Park Birds – Letter to the Editor

This letter is regarding the bird population at Central Park. We are told that the park needs to be cleaned and that’s why they drained the water from the manufactured lake. However, they did it during mating season and there are many geese babies who are not able to fly yet. The babies need water to survive and get stronger to migrate to another location. Unfortunately, when someone brings water containers, the city people remove them. I wrote to the park manager and the city mayor but no positive result. I also informed the wildlife center of silicon valley but no one came to check on our birds. It’s just sad to see such inhumane behavior. 🙁
