Saturday, November 30

  • Rides For Toys 2019: Macy’s parking lot, Downtown Sunnyvale. 10 a.m.  – 1:30 p.m. During this free event, each child who donates a new, unwrapped toy will be given a ride on a Sunnyvale fire engine — children under 10 years old can have a parent ride with them. There is only one ride per toy donation. Suggested retail value of the toys is $25+. Toys for kids 7 – 18 are needed most. Sunnyvale firefighters will present the toys to Sunnyvale Community Services to distribute to their clients in time for the holidays. For more information, call 408-730-7140.

  • Firehouse Run: Stevens Stadium, Santa Clara University. Sign up for a 5k family walk/run or a 10k run. Proceeds support Santa Clara Unified Schools. All participants receive a Firehouse Run T-Shirt and goody bag. RA holds weekly meetings to better understand how to confront discrimination on anything based upon outward appearance including race, gender, LGBTQ and disability among others.
