Nominations for the annual Holiday Outdoor Decorations Contest will be accepted from Nov. 28 through Dec. 7. Decorate the exterior of your home in cheerful, colorful holiday décor and talk to your neighbors about doing the same. Nominate yourself, your neighbor, or one of the brightly lit homes you’ve seen around the City.
Nominations can be made for best outdoor decorations in four categories: residential, business, neighborhood, and best tree. A team of judges will evaluate nominees on or after Thursday, Dec. 8. Winners will be announced the week of Dec. 12. Check the City’s website at santaclaraca.gov for the list of winners along with the full list of entrants on a convenient map. Winners will be acknowledged at a City Council meeting in early January 2012.
