HIT AND RUN DRIVER AT-LARGE

DRIVER: Hispanic male, 20s, wearing a red baseball hat
VEHICLE: Newer black Ford Mustang with a rear spoiler

On October 6 Santa Clara Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the report of a major injury hit and run collision at the intersection of Maryann Drive and Benton Street. The first arriving officers found an adult male in the roadway suffering from significant injuries.

Investigators have determined the victim walked across Maryann Drive at Benton Street when he was struck by a vehicle whose driver turned northbound onto Maryann Drive. The driver fled the scene and has made no attempt to notify police of the incident. The vehicle is described as newer black Ford Mustang with a trunk mounted spoiler. The Mustang likely has front end and windshield damage. The driver is described as a Hispanic male adult in his twenties who wore a red baseball hat. The victim remains hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.

Locating the driver and the vehicle is a high priority, and assistance from the public is needed.
