SANTA CLARA, CA – Summer officially begins at California’s Great America with the return of Red, White and Brews, a hometown celebration of American music, food, and fun. Back by popular demand for the fourth year, the signature event will come to life in the Hometown Square area of the park from noon until closing on select dates, May 27 – June 19 (see schedule below). Guests can savor gourmet foods and locally sourced craft beer and wine while enjoying live entertainment, outdoor games, world-class thrill rides, and fun activities for the whole family.

Can’t decide on just one dish or brew to try? Food and drink tasting cards will be available so you can sample the flavors of Red, White and Brews. With our food tasting card, guests can taste six delicious food offerings from an appetizing specialty menu which includes Chipotle Spiced Chicken Wings, Kickin’ Chickin’ Sliders, Roasted Whole Mexican Street Corn or Smoked Pulled Pork Over House Slaw. Tempting dessert treats round out the menu, including Sweet Yam Brulé, Peanut Butter Mousse Cake, and Petite Smoked Pecan Pie. Twenty Northern California microbrews and locally sourced wines will be available at the event.

The San Jose Brew Bike will be on hand for those who want to cruise through California’s Great America while sipping and cycling (15 passengers provide the pedal-power with a designated cyclist at the wheel). Entertainment in Hometown Square will include oversized board games, giant Adirondack chairs for lounging and “selfie” photo opportunities, and more. A lineup of popular local bands will perform rock, retro, and country hits throughout the day on an outdoor stage in front of the Great America Theater.

So, $90 to get into the park, $40 each for the food and beer wine cards.
We can go over the hill to the Boardwalk, enjoy great food and beer, and have a great day for less than half that.
