The City of Sunnyvale and Santa Clara County Public Health Department are hosting a free COVID-19 testing site at Murphy Park. The testing site at 260 N. Sunnyvale Ave. is open Tuesday, June 30 through Thursday, July 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
If you would like to come and receive a test, remember to wear a face covering at the testing site and practice social distancing. Each nasal swab test should take about 5 minutes. Your results will be mailed or emailed within a week and if your test results are positive for COVID-19, the County will call you with instructions.
Testing is free and open to anyone who is asymptomatic and wants to be tested. Appointments are not needed at this pop-up location in Sunnyvale. COVID-19 testing is free to everyone — no health insurance or a doctor’s note is required. You do not need to be a Sunnyvale resident and there is no age limit to receive a test.
If you are sick or have symptoms of COVID-19, contact your health care provider. Do not visit the testing site.
“Essential workers are encouraged to be tested,” said the City of Sunnyvale. “With COVID-19 cases on the rise again in California this is a good time to be tested. It will help protect you, your family, and your co-workers.”
Frontline workers are encouraged to get tested regularly. The County recommends that if you have regular interaction with the public, you should be tested at least once a month. Any person who works in a skilled nursing facility should ideally get tested every two weeks.
Currently, this pop-up COVID-19 testing site is the only option to get a test within the City of Sunnyvale.
