Community colleges play a unique role in the spectrum of education. For many it’s the transition between high school and college. For others it’s specialized training for careers and career advancement. It’s a dynamic role that has changed frequently in the past and will continue to change in response to a rapidly changing student body, community, and business environment.
Last month at Mission College’s Community Leaders Education Partnership Breakfast, business and community leaders joined educators to discuss changing education needs and innovative approaches to meeting them. “The event also served as a venue to identify new partnerships, and ways to inspire future community leaders,” said Emmy Moore Minister, producer and co-host of Silicon Valley’s “Voice of the Valley” cable TV program.
