“Celebrate Santa Clara” Event Planned

A new community event will debut on Friday, May 20, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Franklin Square when “Celebrate Santa Clara” launches. Presented by the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce and Convention-Visitors Bureau and Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara, the free event features live entertainment featuring the pop rock and R & B group “The Groove Kings.”

Other live entertainment includes the Deju vu Band and the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum Corps. Local Santa Clara restaurants will have food and beverages for sale. Celebrate Santa Clara will take place at Franklin Square located at Homestead and Benton Streets in downtown Santa Clara. For more information, visit www.santaclarachamber.org
