The 2018 Winter Concert Series took place on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Santa Clara High School. The concert featured Choir 1 and Choir 2 as well as the Jazz Band. A second concert was held on Friday, Dec. 14 that featured the String Orchestra and Symphonic Band, under the direction of Johnny Erdman.
Concert Choir 1 performed Sanctus by Franz Shubert (arranged by David Weck), Aurora Borealis by Amy Bernon and Yakety Yak arranged by Roger Emerson.
Concert Choir 2 performed Time to Fly by Kevin Jensen, Sure on This Shining Night by Samuel Barber (arranged by Dick Avarre) and Gaudeamus Hodie by Earlene Rentz.
The Jazz Band performed Synonimic (sic) Bossa by Paul White, Count Me In by Count Basie (arranged by Bill Byers) and Groovin’ Hard by Don Menza (arranged by Dave Barduhn).
The next performance will be Spring Concert Series that will be on March 6 and 8, 2019 at Santa Clara High School.
