Braly Elementary School held its annual Halloween Happening event on October 26. Students came dressed up in costumes – from a ladybug to firefighter – and were able to play games and purchase treats to help support the school. “The kids enjoy it and this is probably our biggest event of the year,” said PTA President Bianca Sigura. “There are about 430 families that go to the school and we get at least half, if not all, of the community out [at this event]…This [event] is where we have the most turnout because it’s the most fun.” The funds from the event will help sponsor the music program, fifth grade science camp and school supplies that the teachers were unable to purchase due to budget cuts.
