Santa Clara community volunteer Bob Byrd was honored at a western-themed BBQ June 22 for his 19 years of service to the Historic Preservation Society of Santa Clara, which manages the Harris-Lass House Museum at 1889 Market Street.
About 65 well wishers attended the catered dinner in the museum garden, and City Council Member Kathy Watanabe presented Byrd with a City Proclamation for his community service to the museum and as a Board of Library Trustee.
