Apply Now for Council District 5 Vacancy

City Council District 5 now has a vacancy due to Mahan's retirement. The City of Santa Clara is accepting applications for the empty Council Seat.

The City of Santa Clara is now accepting applications from residents who are interested in being considered for a City Council vacancy and live in Council District 5. The City Clerk’s Office is accepting applications through Feb. 28 at 5 p.m.

To be considered for appointment by the City Council, the candidate must be a Santa Clara resident, a qualified registered voter, and reside in District 5.

Completed applications will be accepted in person by the City Clerk’s Office, located at Santa Clara City Hall, 1500 Warburton Ave., through the 5 p.m. Feb. 28 deadline.
