The American Legion Post 419’s Annual Car Show took place on Saturday, June 10 at the home of Post 419 (958 Homestead Rd., Santa Clara). The cloudy skies from the previous day’s rain parted for a beautiful, mostly sunny day, that provided visitors and car show participants alike with a chance to enjoy the sites of the show and a chance to socialize. The show featured 65 cars from the muscle cars of the 1960s, to cars from the 30s and 40s, as well as more modern cars and even a 1967 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet brought by Tom & Cathy Nyren. Visitors were also treated to a free ride on the 40/8 Locomotion train. The day featured live music from the Rockin’ Blues Express (www.rockinbluesexpress.com), silent and live auctions, a giveaway and lunch. The annual event is a fundraiser for Post 419’s Veteran Support Programs. For more information on Post 419, please visit their website, www.alpost419ca.org.
