A man and woman were found dead Tuesday afternoon in a home on Homestead Road, Santa Clara near Haman Elementary School.
At approximately 12:04 p.m. on Aug. 8, Santa Clara Police Department officers responded to an unknown situation on the 2200 block of Homestead Road.
Officers looked through one of the home’s windows and saw a body. After entering the home, officers discovered a second body. The deceased are described as an elderly couple but their identities are not yet available.
According to the SCPD, there are no outstanding suspects and there is no danger to the public. They are investigating the incident as a murder/suicide. The cause of death appears to be gunshot wounds.
The Santa Clara County Coroners Office has taken possession of the deceased. The Detective Bureau is investigating the situation.
