49ers Partner With Sports & The Arts to Solicit Art for Santa Clara Stadium

The San Francisco 49ers have partnered with California-based design firm Sports & The Arts to source and acquire the art, graphics and photographic collection for the new Santa Clara Stadium expected to open in August, 2014. The stadium art and photography collection will showcase team history as well as celebrate the Bay Area by featuring works of both local and national talent.

“The 49ers are always looking for new ways to strengthen our connection with our faithful fans,” said 49ers’ CEO Jed York. “The partnership with Sports & The Arts will provide our fans a unique opportunity to leave their mark on the new Santa Clara Stadium, a facility that will embody all that is special about the Bay Area and the Silicon Valley.”

Sports & The Arts is currently seeking submissions from artists who are interested in being considered for the collection. Interested parties may submit a short bio, sample images of artistic style and any other relevant information in PDF format to info@sportart.net. Upon selection, artists will be commissioned for specific works commencing in May 2013.
