The Triton Museum of Art is thrilled to announce the commencement of the Salon at the Triton 2025, a prestigious 2D Art Competition & Exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of California-based artists. Aspiring and established artists alike are encouraged to participate in this esteemed event, where creativity knows no bounds. The deadline to submit artwork is March 21, 2025.

Eligibility for participation extends to all California artists. Submitted artworks must be original creations completed within the last 5 years (2020 through 2025). There will be place awards in five distinct categories: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, and Mixed Media, with the Grand Prize being the Best of Show award. The recipient of the Best of Show award will receive a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art in the following year.

Artists are invited to submit up to 10 separate works of art each. The first entry is $20, with an additional $10 fee for each subsequent entry. For those submitting without a Google account, an additional $10 flat photo processing fee will also be applied.

This year, the Triton Museum of Art welcomes Pancho Jiménez, decorated artist, Professor, and Gallery Director for the Department of Art and Art History at Santa Clara University, as the guest juror. After decades of exhibiting his own work, instructing, directing, and multiple art publications, Jiménez brings a wealth of experience and a keen eye for artistic innovation to the selection process.

The Salon at the Triton 2025 Exhibition will commence with an Artists Reception on May 17, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and will end on August 17, 2025.
