2012 Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival Coming Soon

The 32nd Annual Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival will be held September 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the scenic 52-acre Santa Clara Central Park at 969 Kiely Boulevard. Central Park has a beautiful lake, grassy picnic areas, and shade trees, in addition to a playground and amphitheater. The Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Commission and the City of Santa Clara, along with many community organizations and volunteers, bring you this always-popular weekend event. It is sure to be fun for everyone!

This year, about 175 local and regional artists will have booths with items like paintings and jewelry. Three stages will feature live entertainment with musicians and other performers, and the Kids Kingdom will be there again. Kids Kingdom offers carnival rides and children’s activities, like face painting, crafts and even a rock-climbing wall. Your child can be fingerprinted for his/her identification and learn about fire safety as well.

Four different vintners will present their wines and there will be micro-brewed beer for sale too. Over two dozen community groups will be serving a varied selection of tantalizing international foods.

This Santa Clara tradition is a free festival and supports the community. The festival has raised a considerable amount of money for local charities.

Pets are not allowed at the festival. If you choose to go green and arrive by skateboard, bike or rollerblades, there will be a place to safely leave your wheels, as they are prohibited at the park during the event.
