11th Annual Heart and Soles Fun Run Goes Through Downtown Santa Clara

The 11th annual Lam Research Heart and Soles Fun Run will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in downtown Santa Clara. The event will include a Kids Fun Run, 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run. Event and registration information is available at www.heartandsolesrunsv.com.

There will be no access in or out of the course from 7:45 a.m. – 8:20 a.m., with limited access in and out via Benton Street and El Camino Real. Residents encircled by the course should consider this their best point of access during this timeframe.

There will be road closures and irregular traffic patterns along the course from approximately 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. The course includes:

•Lafayette Street between Market Street and Harrison Street
•Harrison Street between Lafayette Street and El Camino Real
•Alviso Street between Benton Street and Franklin Street
•Southbound El Camino Real between Harrison Street and The Alameda
•The Alameda between El Camino Real and Market Street
•Market Street between The Alameda and Lafayette Street
•Lexington Street between Lafayette Street and Lincoln Street
•Main Street surrounding Mission Library

Vehicles in violation of the posted “No Parking” signage are subject to being towed. 

No vehicle access will be permitted on the course during the race. In addition, vehicles will not be able to exit the event footprint from approximately 7 a.m. -10 a.m. Neighbors in the course footprint are encouraged to park in your garage, driveway, or in a location that is not along the course route.

The following ramp closures will be in place from approximately 7 a.m. -10 a.m.:

Northbound El Camino Real (CA-82) off-ramp onto the De la Cruz Boulevard overpass.

Southbound De la Cruz Boulevard ramp to Coleman Avenue and ramp continuing onto De la Cruz, Westbound Coleman Avenue on-ramp to CA-82/De la Cruz Boulevard, and Northbound De la Cruz Boulevard off-ramp to 880/Coleman Avenue.

A detour route is available via Lafayette Street, Reed Street, Martin Street, and Brokaw Road. 

Public transportation may be impacted due to road closures for the 11th Annual Heart and Soles Fun Run. 

Please read the message boards and follow the instructions of police personnel and private security.

Be observant and monitor your environment. If you notice suspicious objects or observe suspicious behavior, report this information to local law enforcement immediately. 

The Public Works Department will adjust the Clean-up Campaign timeframe for those residents on Lexington Street (between Jackson Street and Monroe Street). The affected residents on Lexington Street will have until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30 to set out materials.
